Detection of surface quality on rotating components
Turning is the most important manufacturing process in the industrial production of rotationally symmetrical components. The tool and component are in permanent contact during manufacturing. This is a challenge even for modern tools, which become blunt over time. A blunt tool causes problems during production, as the surface quality deteriorates at the same time. The surface quality can be checked and adjusted at any time using measurement technology installed in the machine.
