Restoring cultural assets with smart assistance
If valuable documents and objects are damaged, they can usually only be restored at great expense and with a great deal of manual skill. Our assistance system supports archaeologists and restorers in reconstructing flat cultural and art objects such as glass mosaics or tiles: It records individual fragments with a camera, determines their position and orientation in the original object and provides instructions for reassembling them.
