Empire on Display: Reframing the Imperial Legacies of Art
As part of the project "Empire on Display: Reframing the Imperial Legacies of Art”, this roundtable discussion brings together practitioners and scholars of art, as well as academics, students, and curators, to recast the legacy of colonial encounters in visual art and material history that shaped the British imperial project from the Crystal Palace to its current afterlives. The conversation will also re-visit the exhibition “Afterlives of Empire”, organised by Prof. Gesa Stedman in 2023. The event caters to all age groups, particularly adults and teenagers above the age of 15.
